Our goal is adding lifelike digital humans into real-time medical environments with innovative technology. VIBE’s mission is to surely revolutionize the use of artificial intelligence in healthcare.
A mission to improve AI
VIBE’s mission is to bring great minds together to create software that will assist in the medical field. With the development of VIBE Virtual Humans (Avatars), VIBE and its partners are creating conversational agents that operate in virtual reality environments. These agents communicate with their non-virtual human users through speech, facial expressions and movement. These conversational agents can be greatly beneficial to medical institutions because they can simulate lifelike patient behavior. As a result, medical training can become much more true to nature thanks to these agents.

VIBE and it’s partners focus on the development of innovative technology. With the combined expertise of these institutions, we will be able to excel in these area’s. Tilburg University is VIBE’s main project coordinator. Our partners in knowledge are educational institutions BUaS, Fontys Hogescholen & ROC Tilburg. Medical partners include Maxima Medisch Centrum and Spaarne Gasthuis. Technological partners include BlueTea, IC3D Media, Indicia, Noldus, Samure), and the Netherlands Aerospace Centre (NLR).
The next step in AI
The future of project VIBE is looking bright. The first prototype of the VIBE application is nearing completion and will deploy for testing in a medical center in the near future. There it will undergo elaborate evaluation by experienced professionals in the medical field to analyze its capabilities.
